Ricoh Ireland shortlisted for two major awards at 2017 Tech Excellence Awards

Ricoh Ireland is pleased to announce that it has been shortlisted for two of the top awards at the upcoming 2017 Irish Tech Excellence Awards. Ricoh was shortlisted for the prestigious Company of the Year Award and also the Managed Service Company of the Year Award, based on a wide number of significant achievements in Ireland over the past year.

An expert panel of judges looked at various qualifying criteria when making their shortlists, including revenue and employee growth, new investments, customer acquisition, and the launch of innovative new products and services. Ricoh was recognised for its success across all of these areas.

Ricoh’s recent investments in the Irish market include a new world-class Irish headquarters in Airside Business Park, Swords and a new 12,000ft2 Document Services Centre in Glasnevin, Dublin. In addition, Ricoh made a commitment to grow its Irish business by an additional 110 people to have 190 staff by 2019.

Ricoh was also recognised for its leading range of accreditations, best practices and expertise. It meets the most stringent ITIL standards, with ISO accreditations including 9002, 14001, 18001 and 27001. Ricoh Ireland was also awarded the Business Working Responsibly Mark (BWRM) from Business in the Community Ireland for the second time in 2016. The accreditation recognises best-in-class CSR in areas including ethics, environment, innovation and customer service. The company has a highly proactive approach to promoting CSR initiatives and raises much-needed funds and awareness for a wide number of Irish charities. One example of Ricoh’s activity in this area is the recent donation of €175,000 worth of print and document management technologies to Temple Street Hospital.

These were just some of the factors that impressed the judges and convinced them to shortlist Ricoh for these two high profile awards. Now in their 17th year, the Tech Excellence Awards celebrate the very best in the industry of information technology. The Awards Presentation Night is a black-tie gala event, which will take place on 18th May in the Citywest Hotel, Saggart, Co. Dublin.
